HEIDI LUDWIG, BOARD CHAIR (Associate Director, Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne)

Heidi is an active member of St. John Lutheran Church, Kendallville and a lifelong resident of Avilla where she resides with her husband, Rick, and two children.  Heidi is Associate Director at the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne where her responsibilities include oversight of investments, accounting and operations.


Terry G. Housholder is a lifelong Noble County resident.  He is the president and publisher of KPC Media Group, Inc., based in Kendallville.  He is an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Avilla. 

REV. JERRY BURGHDUFF, BOARD SECRETARY (Brimfield & Rome City United Methodist Churches)

Jerry is a resident of Rome City, Indiana.  He retired from the U.S. Army in 1996 after a distinguished military career of 26 years as the Command Sergeant Major of Darnall Army Hospital at Fort Hood, Texas.  He then worked for 17 years at Lutheran Life Villages in Kendallville, Indiana as the 2nd Shift Charge Nurse providing comfort and care to the facility's residents.  In 2007, Jerry was appointed by Governor Mitch Daniels to the Indiana State Board of Nursing where he served consecutive terms until 2014.  After his retirement in 2014, Jerry entered ministry and now serves as pastor at the Rome City and Brimfield United Methodist Churches.

TAMMY PIFER, BOARD TREASURER (Early Head Start Director, Brightpoint)

Tammy Pifer spends her days helping others at Brightpoint. An empty-nester herself, she manages home visiting programs that serve prenatal women and families with infants and toddlers. She wants to see Noble County be a strong, healthy community where people have the opportunities to live to their fullest potential.

Tammy began serving with Common Grace Ministries as the Friendship Connection Treasurer and then moved into the role of Board Treasurer when the organizational restructuring took place.  She is a great connector for us with the many services available through Bright Point.

Bret a life long resident of Albion where he has lived with his wife of 37 years, Carla and their children Ted and Britany.  He serves the Albion Asbury and Trinity United Methodist Churches.  He is a board member of the Noble County Council on Aging, Chaplin of the Noble County Sheriff Department as well and the Albion PD.  Prior to entering the ministry, Bret worked at Max Platt Ford for 20 years as a parts, service manager. Bret would like to offer solutions to people’s needs and he feels Common Grace Ministries is doing that. He is glad to be on the team. 


Lena was born and raised in Kendallville where she still resides with her husband, Brett, and their 3 children.  She is the Human Resource Manager for B&J Medical in Kendallville.  Lena is very involved in her community.  As a life-long Noble County native, she has a passion for the people of Noble County.  Human Resources is not just a job to her, but a way to help others better themselves through sustainable employment.  Lena has a deep appreciation for the nonprofits of Noble County and is also involved with Drug Free Noble County, the Kendallville Chamber and ABWA.

GRACE FRAZIER (Noble County Community Foundation, Teens on Boards)

Grace is our resident Teen from the Teens on Boards program. She is the daughter of Dr. Chris and Sasha Frazier and resides in Kendallville. She will be graduating from East Noble High School in June and plans to pursue a career in pediatric therapy. She is involved in theater, dance, swim, and is heavily involved in the Unified Knights program. Grace attends South Milford Church of Christ.
